Flexibility training is truly for everyone!  Having been a personal trainer for flexibility since 186, I can tell you that nearly 100% of all the clients I've trained needed some flexibility training.

Becoming more flexible is so easy to do, yet so many people just put it off.  Relaxation and muscle lengthening techniques can be performed almost anywhere, but I recommend finding a quiet space where you can feel completely at ease and relax.  Get in the proper frame of mind so you can more easily relax and get the maximum benefit of the stretches.  This is the first step in my flexibility program.

 

While most flexibility exercises require minimal equipment, here are some helpful tools:

  • Yoga Mat: Provides a comfortable and supportive surface for your practice.

  • Stretching Strap: This can help you deepen stretches and target specific areas.

  • Foam Roller: Great for self-myofascial release to improve muscle recovery and flexibility.

 

Remember, the best equipment is your own body! Listen to your limits and gradually increase intensity as your flexibility improves.
